Alternate title: How to be awesome at Dargarthing
An important way to contribute to Dargarth is to take on some of the effort to actually run the game. This responsibility manifests itself with nobility, marshals, and knights. But there are ways to help out besides those formal paths! You don’t need “a job” at Dargarth to improve it for everyone. Here’s a pile of suggestions that will passively improve the game around you.
For new players:
- Treat people courteously
- Understand safety requirements
- Recruit interested new people
- Fall over when you die, its the most basic level of roleplay
For players with a few credits:
- Minimum of garb (no jeans, wear a tabard, etc.)
- A weapon of your own, let new players use the loaners
- To know your class abilities (if you have one) and understand basic spellballs
For experienced players:
- Help out new players if they need it
- Have basic garb from head to toe (no t-shirts, no sneakers)
- Help out as an NPC or elder occasionally
- Help new players to get garb/weapons
For game leaders:
- Create and run adventures
- Look good on the field with a high quality level of garb
- Engage passerby or people with questions
A Country:
- Have surcoated members and banner at each event
- Run the occasional adventure
- Complete land actions and interact with other countries
- Bring loaner weapons for new players, you can probably recruit them!
